First Nations BreastScreen Australia Campaign

28th February, 2025

Late last year, we were commissioned by the team at Wayarang to produce and photograph a collection of lifestyle images to support the release of the Federal Government’s First Nations BreastScreen Australia campaign.

Working closely with Wayarang, we developed a shoot plan, paying careful attention to the choice of locations and activities, to ensure that the final images were authentic and relatable to First Nations people.

When it comes to large government campaigns, we often collaborate with external consultants to ensure that our image libraries are both technically and/or culturally appropriate. This is particularly important when it comes to messaging around health, children, safety, and First Nations people.

We captured this campaign across 1.5 days. The first day, a location photo shoot to capture lifestyle images, and the second (half-day), a studio photo shoot of portraits that would be incorporated into beautiful posters and educational print material.

Here are a few of our favourite images and final artworks from the shoot. All finished artwork was completed by our friends at Wayarang.
